Overview

A freestanding ER in Tyler, TX is seeking a Front Desk Coordinator to join their team. The Marketing Director will strive to provide proficient, competent care while maintaining the patient’s sense of comfort and dignity.

Responsibilities for the Front Desk Coordinator

  1. Planning daily tasks for the Registrars; anticipating the facility and patient needs and volume in order to complete tasks timely and best offer the HHER experience; ensuring all shifts are filled and overtime is minimized
  2. Managing staffing needs to include interviewing, hiring, new hire and ongoing training, evaluations, and corrective action
  3. Coordinating staffing requirements of the Registrar position
  4. Conducting interviews and recommending new hires
  5. Managing the training requirements of new hires to include all training documentation, training progress reports, and implementing new or improved training programs
  6. Providing accurate reporting of patience census and financial log reports for all HHER branded facilities
  7. Maintaining the working operation of the registration software
  8. Participating in activities to plan, measure, assess and improve the quality of front desk operations
  9. Mentoring new staff and providing training, constructive feedback and coaching
  10. Coordinating and communicating with Human Resources with any and all employee relations issues/updates and payroll inquiries of issues

Requirements and Qualifications for the Front Desk Coordinator

  • High School Graduate/Equivalent, College preferred
  • Ability to read, speak and write the English language
  • Current driver’s license with no restrictions
  • Understanding of clinical care and privacy
  • Maintains flexibility and availability for on-call and any coverage requirements that are not otherwise met by the Registration staff

Pay & Benefits

  • This is a salaried, exempt position; hours are expected to vary from time to time as staffing is 24/7, but standard hours will be Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 6 PM with flexibility to work nights and weekends as needed
