Overview

A freestanding ER in Tyler, TX is seeking a Patient Advocate LVN to join their team. The Patient Advocate LVN will strive to provide proficient, competent care while maintaining the patient’s sense of comfort and dignity.

Responsibilities for the Patient Advocate LVN

  1. Creating and maintaining a patient centered focus by engaging in a positive working relationship with all patients, visitors, and staff of the facility.
  2. Prioritizing patient needs throughout the duration of their stay to include answering questions and concerns; resolving any issues that may arise; running errands and providing meals.
  3. Engaging with all patients, visitors and staff and providing a warm welcome; prepare and deliver refreshments.
  4. Overseeing the organizing, planning and prioritization of workflow within the Hospitality Department.
  5. Completing administrative tasks; must document and use logs appropriately such as the Van Usage Log and Credit Card Log and must supply receipts/invoices and properly document usage related to HHER funds and resources.
  6. Maintaining patient rooms and common areas within the facility.
  7. Coordinating the inventory of items within the facility to include picking up bulk orders and restocking supplies.
  8. Completing administrative tasks; must document and use logs appropriately such as the Van Usage Log and Credit Card Log and must supply receipts/invoices and proper document usage to HHER funds and resources.
  9. Participate in marketing events throughout the community.

Requirements and Qualifications for the Patient Advocate LVN

  • · Licensed Vocational Nurse diploma or certification.
  • · Previous customer service experience, direct patient care preferred.
  • · Current driver’s license with no restrictions.
  • · Ability to provide efficient customer service in a high volume, high stress environment.
  • · Flexibility to meet scheduling demands of department.
  • · Associate Degree.
