Overview

A freestanding ER in Tyler, TX is seeking a Valet Driver to join their team. The Valet Driver will strive to provide proficient, competent care while maintaining the patient’s sense of comfort and dignity.

Responsibilities for the Valet Driver

  1. Operating shuttle service for patient and visitor drop off and pick up to and from designated parking lot areas to the emergency facility.
  2. Communicating with patients/visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
  3. Relocating vehicles on the lot as needed.
  4. Performing miscellaneous vehicle maintenance including but not limited to pre‐trip and post‐trip inspections.
  5. Inspecting company owned vehicles to ensure they are up to code and running properly and safely.
  6. Maintaining a clean, pleasant, and calm environment inside the shuttle; this includes but is not limited to windows rolled up, approved audio/video playing, interior lights on, no air freshener spraying, no items on the dashboard and no food in the shuttle.
  7. Fueling vehicles as needed Logging trip count as needed.
  8. Reporting any known accidents, observed or suspected violations of Company policy, safety hazard or any unusual occurrence to the department supervisor.
  9. Having a thorough knowledge of all areas of parking area and facility.
  10. Providing a memorable, personal, and professional experience to all patients and visitors Stocking supplies inside the facility as needed.
  11. Greeting all visitors and guests promptly and professionally; smiles, makes eye contact, and verbally greets guests and coworkers from arrival on the property through departure.
  12. Transporting lab specimens by picking them up from Tyler HHER and delivering them to Longview HHER.
  13. Following all health and safety protocols and procedures to maintain sanitary work areas.
  14. Ensuring lab specimens are securely and safely stored in the delivery.
  15. Ensuring punctual collection and delivery of lab specimens.
  16. Verifying and signing delivery receipts.
  17. Tracking and logging maintenance and mileage data to the company database.

Requirements and Qualifications for the Valet Driver

  • Maintain flexibility and availability for on‐call and any coverage requirements that are not otherwise met by the Valet staff to include working overtime, holidays, weekends, and during peak volume and vacated shifts.
  • Demonstrates attention to detail and thoroughness.
  • Adaptability to ongoing changes.
  • Must be or above the age 21.
  • To move quickly but effectively to meet customer care needs.
  • Clean criminal and driving record.
  • Ability to read, speak, and write the English language.
  • Impeccable driving record.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
